Zocks Communications Hungary Kft. (“Company”, “we”) acts as the data controller in relation to personal data submitted as part of a job application.
2. Purpose of Processing
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- assessing your application
- managing and conducting the recruitment process
- communicating with you regarding your application
- evaluating suitability for employment
- defending or establishing legal claims
3. Categories of Personal Data
We may process the following categories of data:
- name
- email address
- phone number
- CV / resume content
- cover letter content
- employment history
- education details
- interview notes
- salary expectations (if provided)
- any other information you voluntarily submit
Please do not include special categories of personal data (e.g., health data, religious beliefs) unless strictly necessary.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
The legal basis for processing your data in relation to the specific position you applied for is:
Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – processing necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
If you explicitly agree that we retain your data for future opportunities, the legal basis is:
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent.
5. Retention Period
If your application is unsuccessful, we retain your data for up to 24 months after the recruitment process has been closed, for the purpose of handling potential legal claims.
After the retention period, candidate data will be anonymized, except for name and job posting.
If you provide consent for future opportunities, we may retain your data for up to 24 months, or until you withdraw your consent.
If you are hired, your data will be processed in accordance with our Employee Privacy Notice.
6. Data Processors and International Transfers
We use Lever, Inc. as our applicant tracking system provider.
Personal data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where such transfers occur, they are carried out subject to appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or other lawful transfer mechanisms under Chapter V of the GDPR.
7. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- request access to your personal data
- request rectification of inaccurate data
- request erasure of your data
- request restriction of processing
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (if applicable)
- withdraw consent at any time (if processing is based on consent)
- request data portability where applicable

8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk.
